Foster Care:

In 1996 Childhaven
became the only dual licensed program in San Juan County to offer both
Treatment Foster Care and Regular Foster Care. Treatment Foster care
offers family based treatment for children with severe emotional and/or
behavioral disorders. Regular Foster Care is for children who have been
removed from their home for a period of time to ensure their safety and
well-being. By offering both programs Childhaven allows the children to
transition from one level of care to another without the necessity of
changing agencies and homes. In 2004 Childhaven provided 30 Children
with 7,430 nights of care in Foster Care.
