Created in 1994 Childhaven's Parent Support Program offers voluntary prevention and intervention services to parents who wish to improve their parenting skills. Parenting classes are offered year-round, utilizing Foster Cline and Jim Fay's "Love and Logic" curriculum. The Family Advocate provides home-based case management services. Since over 60% of the children in the shelter are returned home, it has become vital for Childhaven to work with the entire family if any substantial changes are to be realized.
