Emergency Shelter
Created in 1969, the Emergency Shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is available for immediate placement of youth from birth through 17, who are abused, neglected or abandoned. The Shelter provides food, clothing, medical attention, educational assistance, transportation and recreational activities to its residents.
Annually the Emergency Shelter provides over 5,000 nights of care to 150+ children in need. Referrals are made by law enforcement, social services and parents/guardians needing these emergency services.
