Helping Hands Volunteers
Childhaven's volunteers represent one of the organization’s most valuable resources. Annually Childhaven offsets it’s operating costs significantly by utilizing over 4000 volunteer hours.

Childhaven’s Helping Hands Volunteers are essential to Childhaven. Childhaven strives to provide volunteers with the opportunity to express their special qualities and abilities through a variety of avenues. Some of the areas of greatest need are:

• Direct care with the children
• Tutoring
• Assisting at fundraising events
• Foster parenting
• Clerical / office work
• Physical / maintenance work
• CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates

All volunteers need to fill out our volunteer application and will need three references (please use this reference form).

Phone for Children Campaign,
November/December
The  Annual Phone for Children Campaign is held in fall/winter. People phone in their pledges to volunteers manning the phones. Volunteers are needed to take pledges on the phone and to assist during the Auction.

More the Merrier Bike Ride, Annually in June
This is a fun bike ride held at Lions Wilderness Park Pavilion with a meal and entertainment following the ride. Volunteers are needed to  help with registration, preparation and serving of food, and clean-up the day of the event.
